The topic of black hair growth is one that comes with a lot of debate and various opinions.
If you are over the age of thirteen you have probably heard the myth that black hair can't grow! I remember being asked, "Why don't black women have long hair?" when I was in highschool. If I am being honest, back then, I didn't think we could achieve maximum lengths either. However, book after book, and research after research have shown me that this is not true.
The problem is that there is a lot of false information out there. Even though this information is false, MOST of us believe in it and follow it. Just to list a couple of the myths:
The most important step toward growing longer black hair is to create and stick to a healthy hair regime
Your journey to healthier and longer hair begins with a healthy hair regime. This regime should include regular cleansing of your hair, daily moisturizing, gentle handling, scalp massages, protective styling and deep conditioning.
It requires patience, knowledge and time. There is no magic potion that will help you grow hair fast. There are some products that people swear by like, hot oil treatments, wild growth hair oil, biotin and black hair vitamins. There are also tried an true methods like ultra black hair growth.
