Buying and Using Black Hair Shampoo

We should choose a creamy, rich moisturizing black hair shampoo since black hair is almost always dry because oils that are produced at the scalp, sebum, have a hard time traveling down our tightly curled hair. Sebum is an oily, waxy substance that lubricates the scalp and hair. Shampoos with ingredients like coconut and nut oils are great for our hair types because they will supply moisture to the hair by coating the shaft and trapping water inside. In other words, they work a lot like the natural oils our bodies make.

Now you can do whatever you want but I do not wash my hair daily. I tried this once when I was in high school trying to be like some of my friends. lol. My hair was so incredibly dehydrated and I was confused. lol. I thought that frequent washing was why my friends had such long hair. Now I know that different hair types need different hair supplies. If you absolutely have to wash your hair on a daily basis, then rinse with water and then condition your hair or co-wash.

You must always, always, follow your shampooing with a conditioner and remember that a little goes a long way.
